charlotte church history
Redemption Charlotte launched in January of 2012, worshiping at the AMC Theatres inside the Concord Mills mall. After 3 years, the congregation outgrew that space and moved to the beautiful campus of Cox Mill High School, where they are currently meeting. In addition to experiencing the presence of God together each Sunday, the people of Redemption Charlotte have been intentional about pursuing authentic relationships with one another while also reaching out and partnering with some incredible organizations in our community.
At winding springs elementary school, committed volunteers have mentored students, pulled weeds and planted vegetables in the courtyard garden, and facilitated special projects such as the extreme makeover of the teacher’s lounge! Volunteers have also aided justice ministries in fighting to eliminate human trafficking and partnered with proverbs 226 to provide hope, relational reconciliation, and college education for children with incarcerated parents. At Cox Mill High School sporting events, Charlotte Chamber of Commerce events, Movies in the Park, and Food Truck Fridays, Redemption Charlotte has found unique ways to add value to what is going on in our city. At Redemption Charlotte we are all about sharing life together and we’d love for you to come and be a part!
