Position: Redemption Praise & Worship Leader/Department Head
Report To: Senior Pastor & Executive Pastor
Classifications: Full-time; Salary, Exempt
Hours: Sundays (Worship Service): 7:30am-11:00am
Wednesdays (Band Rehearsal): 7:00pm-9:00pm
Saturdays (Full Rehearsal): 10:00am-12:00pm
Prep Time – as needed
Additional services and Special Events – as needed

Lead and engage congregational worship for REDEMPTION while developing a music and creative arts ministry team who operates in excellence.
requirements:
- Experienced Worship leader who has a heart for the Lord and demonstrates a standard for excellence in music ministry
- Proven track record in the ministry of praise and worship
- Excellent communication skills and ability to exhort and engage the congregation in worship
- Skilled in talent recruitment and development, appropriate delegation and works comfortably with all age groups
- Possess a high-quality musical background; strong vocals & prefer advanced capabilities on at least one lead instrument
- Willingness to remain flexible while working in conjunction with Senior Pastor’s vision for REDEMPTION
- Maintain valid Driver’s License
- Provide own transportation
responsibilities:
- Adhere to policies & procedures as outlined in the REDEMPTION employee handbook
- Take shared responsibility for accomplishing the vision of REDEMPTION
- Strive to display professionalism and moral conduct becoming of a church environment
- Provide overall leadership in music ministry & begin establishing expanded creative arts ministry
- Reproduce & maintain the multi-cultural “sound” of REDEMPTION
- Oversee auditions for vocals and band members
- Effectively communicate, plan, coordinate and develop music ministry plans with respective personnel and other ministries within REDEMPTION
- Lead weekly rehearsals for praise team & band members
- Recruit, train, and lead worship team members
- Plan & select music for weekly worship service & occasional special events
- Work with Technical Team to evaluate, recommend, update and improve equipment
- Oversee maintenance of musical instruments/equipment
- Communicate frequently with Senior and Executive Pastors to receive direction & overall development
- Communicate weekly with Greenville’s Technical Team Leader about needs for upcoming service / event
- Attend scheduled, local leadership team meetings
- Assist Pastors with other assignments as needed
