greenville church history
Redemption Greenville launched in 1991 with 3 people, worshiping in a warehouse on Thousand Oaks Blvd. The congregation continued to grow and flourish so in 1994, the church built a 300 seat sanctuary on a 1 acre lot near Greenville’s Downtown Airport. We continued to experience exponential growth, and by 2003, we were over 6000 members! Later that year, Redemption Greenville completed construction of our current facility, which sits on a spacious 20 acre location. In addition to encountering the presence of God on a weekly basis, the people of Redemption Greenville are passionate about serving others as well as being difference-makers in local government, businesses and community organizations. We seek to partner with others in order to positively impact our community.
During the week, Redemption Greenville is the home to a thriving Outreach Department which works to give people access to medical benefits, clothing, food, job assistance and educational benefits. Harvest Hope Food Bank, United Way and other strategic partners help us service the community help take individuals and families from a state of poverty to self-sufficiency. We also partner with Coaches 4 Character, allowing us to further impact the lives of Teens and Students through sports initiatives and inspirational programming. Redemption Greenville is committed to Spiritual, Physical and Relational growth and development. Great things are happening in Greenville and we would love for you to come and be a part!
